An Inspector Calls? Time for Prince of Porkies to be prosecuted?

 There are calls for Prince Andrew to take responsibility for his crimes and taste true justice.  There are questions about his sexual activities.  Are they offensive and an offense against a woman who was badly treated?

There are questions about fraud and misuse of public funds, illegal activities and dodgy dealings, and smearing a reputation, bearing false witness on an epic scale.

There are calls for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson to be exiled after prosecution.

Now there is persecution but the public are demanding prosecution.

These calls for Prince Andrew to face justice and to be held accountable for his actions, the consequences of his immoral behavior will not go away. The Palace press office is, according to journalists and an esteemed biographer, involved in a cover up and complicit in false narratives. How economical with the truth have these Palace spin doctors and press officers been?

There needs to be a thorough forensic investigation into Prince Andrew's use of public funds, tax payers' money.

Justice should flow like a river and the rule of righteousness at the highest levels.  To those who have been given much, much should be expected. That's fair.

Black Theology problems

 Looking at the theology of leaders and founders of Black Theology, there are serious concerns over their low view of the Bible and questions about good hermeneutics.  Cone, for example, said to be the father of Black Theology, has a radical approach to the Old and New Testament documents, in denying their supreme and final authority in matters of doctrine, ethics and pastoral practice. Cone is far from orthodox. His theology can be divisive and contentious. In his original writings Cone is polemical and aggressively anti-evangelical. His soteriology is not rooted in the work of Christ on the Cross, having no faith in salvation by grace through faith unto good works, which God has prepared beforehand that Christians should walk in them. There is no clear teaching on the work of the Holy Spirit in conviction us of sin, righteousness and judgment, as commonly understood by orthodox Christians.

There is a false understanding of human nature, of mankind being dead in trespasses and sins in need of Christ's finished work, the blessed hope in His righteousness and redemption. We are in a perilous condition apart from Christ.  It is a false gospel, not the Gospel of repentance and the Kingdom of God, the faith once delivered to the people of God, followers of the Way, the Truth and the Life. Cone's gospel leads people astray and I would argue in to bitterness, victimhood and alienation. It does not lead people into receiving eternal and abundant life in Christ, having the mind of Christ and finding salvation in Him. It is not a Christocentric Gospel. It is a carnal, unspiritual gospel, lacking spiritual truth, truth revealed by the Spirit of God. It does not have that light that leads to peace with God in Christ Jesus. It is a gospel of condemnation and unrest.

Any theology that embraces Marxism and the false socialist utopian belief in a future built on vain political ideas, class warfare and bad economics will end in failure. Marx believed in the removal of the wages system, which can never work or be implemented by any sane government.  Marxism is the enemy of the open and free society.  Black Theology wishes to chain us to false hopes.  It will never see people saved, sanctified and sealed with the Holy Spirit. It is built on bad foundations, erroneous teaching and dodgy doctrines. In the final analysis Cone is heretical.

When a theology is wedded to a trendy liberation theological narrative, we will no doubt see it eventually be divorced, and divested of its power, authority and substance in the future. It will not stand up to the test of time and eternity. Black Theology is on the broad way, not the way of liberation.

Black Theology: blessing or curse?

 Black Theology (BT) deals with liberation from oppression.  It has been linked to Liberation Theology and uses the Bible, particularly the Exodus narrative, it can be argued, to highlight the struggle to be released from bondage into the Promised Land. 

It can also be argued that the black experience in the USA has influenced, moulded and shaped the BT movement and BT theologians, such as James Cone. God is said to be the liberator that fights the oppressors. And in some BT literature the oppressors are whites, even white theologians and church leaders. The Hebrews of Exodus seem to be irrelevant and passed over.  Were they not black enough?

The important oppressed minority group, according to some BT theologians, are the blacks, particularly the black Afro-American community. Mixed race folk, like Barack Obama, seem to be included. Blackness, it seems, can be a state of being rather than skin colour (color USA).

Christians throughout the world, in the Far East, in Asian and Chinese communities, struggle to square aspects of BT with NT Christianity and their experience of God, in the light of Galatians 3:26-29.

Now when it comes to oppression, well we should look within the current black community. There we can see the oppression of single mothers struggling to feed, clothe and educate their children without the support of fathers, male partners, spouses and absentee parents. Lone parent households can be a curse in the black community.  There is criminal enterprise, custodial sentences, violence, truancy, anti-social behaviour, dishonouring parents, gang culture, obesity, knife attacks and drug/alcohol problems that need to be addressed and faced by folk in the black community.  These issues were raised by black mothers at prayer meetings in workplace Christian fellowship meetings and in pastoral situations that I attended some years ago.  Has the situation changed for the better?  Has BT helped these Christian mothers?

Charlie Kirk: martyr and man with a marvellous message

 One month ago yesterday, Charlie Kirk was murdered in front of thousands. It was in Utah, USA. The fatal shot in his neck was shown in magazines and newspapers throughout the world.  He did not die in obscurity but in plain sight with friends, family fellow-shippers and fellow supporters of his college campus campaigns.

He did not have a college degree or an elite academic education, but was self educated and learnt at the feet of the Cross serving His Master and Lord.  Charlie may have been a radical Republican and confident Conservative, politically and theologically, and hated by the woke and woefully ill informed, the scoffers, sceptics, cynics and self righteous social justice warriors, but didn't he engage and speak wonderfully well with authority, conviction, clarity and common sense.

His YouTube debates and responses to aggressive and ignorant opponents are worth watching.  Many are now discovering the delights of Charlie's debates.  

He shared his faith, his time and his energy in helping college campus students to see truths that they had overlooked and did not wish to consider.  Charlie thought that some college degrees and courses were worthless, a waste of time. Charlie had read widely and had a good grasp of facts and inconvenient truths.

It cost him his life. A life that will be remembered, for in death, and he did not die in vain, he still speaks.

Charlie berated the modern gospel, a half gospel without judgment and difficulties.  Charlie believed in a hot Gospel of truth as well as grace. He contended that God will punish sinners, and we are all hell deserving sinners apart from amazing grace.  Charlie was a witness to the truth of the Gospel, and as a witness he died and was therefore a true martyr. Look at the NT Greek to get it!

Islamophobia? Really?

 Some Christians have been accused of Islamophobia because they have expressed concern over Islamic teaching, practice, protests, persecutions and power.  Questioning, criticizing the standard Islamic narrative has been met with hostility and violent opposition, particularly at Hyde Park Corner and in certain areas where there are many Muslims. Even preaching the Christian Gospel causes offence.

But please think about this.  Christians are told by Jesus to love their enemies, to bless those who persecute.  They may see some Muslims, Jihadists and Islamists as their enemies, but they should certainly want to pray for them, to love them and help them find the truth, the best way and the best life.      

Wolves, ravenous wolves are running

 We should be aware that ravenous wolves with destructive ideologies and dangerous deceptive doctrines are at large.  These wolves are not kind, caring and compassionate.  They are full of hate and harmful ideas.  They wish to impose restrictive practices, activities that oppose free speech, open dialogue and inconvenient truths that expose their folly. They have evil intentions masked by good intentions and acts of charity, calculated to cause damage to an open society and established Christian values.

In the name of a false peace and prosperity there is a broad way that leads to destruction, spiritual corruption and moral failure.  

Have we lost control of our borders and  are we allowing aliens with evil intent to walk our streets, bringing crime and chaos?  

We should be concerned that aliens are entering the country with little regard for law, order, good behaviour, decency and lacking respect for our customs, conventions and culture.

Not all cultures, religions and societies are equal. Neither do all have a sense of justice, righteousness and integrity.  We should be watchful, looking out for the enemies of an open society;  we should stand for freedom that is against violent extremism, and expose those who cloak, dissemble and distort with their dishonest devices and desires.

Jihadi Trojan Horses are riding in?

 Are we now waking up to the reality of jihadism?  It is interesting, significant, that the name of the Islamic murderer at the Manchester synagogue was Jihad al-Shamie. Well, he carried out shameful jihad, that's for sure.  It was a terrorist incident. It was carried out by an Islamic activist, who probably was a devout follower of Mohammed/Muhammad and teaching associated with Jihad, holy war, or should that be unholy war?
